About the role:
Reporting to the Tumuwhanake | GM Customer and Product, the Generate Manager is a pivotal position within InternetNZ. You will be supporting them to expand the market for all InternetNZ products and services.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing and leading a team of four professionals who are dedicated to generating value to our customers and lifting the .nz brand
- Supporting our Tumuwhanake | GM Customer and Product to weave a genuine customer centric mindset across Te Puni Whakawhanake Rawa | Customer and Product to grow strategic engagement and relationships with registrars
- Developing annual and ‘always on’ marketing and communications plans that elevate the .nz brand across all relevant sectors in Aotearoa
- Engaging and collaborating with our Product Infrastructure Lead to ensure technology requirements are met for product innovation and creation
- Relentless creation of value to drive back into the registrar channel (i.e. market insights, business intelligence, etc) to maintain relevance in the market
- Frequent speaking engagements and panel participation to educate industries that are relevant the domain name market
Key requirements:
- Demonstrable strength in any combination of: technology, marketing, communications/public relations, consumer psychology
- Minimum of 5 years in a commercial environment with experience in leading and managing teams
- A practical and empathetic leadership style
- Strong communicator - written and verbally. An outgoing communication style, highly capable public speaker and storyteller
- Knowledge of tikanga and te ao Māori with the ability to build relationships in diverse communities
- Big picture, strategic thinker with the ability to analyse customer insights, consumer/competitor trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
