About the role
The Community Engagement Manager reports to the Tumu Herenga Waka | GM Public Impact, and you have the opportunity to really make the role your own in this new puni.
With responsibility for increasing public impact by providing funding and advice and connecting communities, you’ll be helping others share the good things that are going on in the Internet.
The preferred candidates will:
Have a strong working knowledge of the key drivers of success through different types of partnerships, wonderful sector connections, and a proven ability to build meaningful, strategic relationships within communities where the need is greatest.
Be recognised as a leader who inspires, galvanises, and provides direction, and having grassroots knowledge of philanthropy, your pragmatism, and your passion for supporting others will underpin your credibility and reputation for fairness and commitment to equity.
You’ll have extensive senior-level experience in:
- building relationships across diverse communities to achieve outcomes
- making decisions and driving action
- philanthropic and/or NFP sector
- building cultural capability through your knowledge of te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- leadership and empowering people
- working with ambiguity
- building & implementing strategy and driving innovative initiatives and strategic projects
- IT Sector knowledge would be beneficial
Location:
Preference will be given to those who are based in either Auckland or Wellington, but we are open to considering other locations across Aotearoa. Some travel is required.
