Death and the Internet was an InternetNZ speaker series event that took place on 9 June 2016 - both in Wellington and online.
The purpose of the event was to bring to light exactly what happens to your online information when you die. Narelle Clark - Deputy CEO at the Australian Communications Consumer Action Network - asked this question through an interactive session exploring modern death, rights, and technology.
InternetNZ has since put together a one-page recourse. It explains why this stuff is important to think about now, has a handy checklist so you can start being prepared and links to some more resources should you want more information. This resource is here to help you organise your online assets now, and save your loved ones a lot of time and hassle after the event of your death.
