NetHui at ITx

NetHui bird logoITx focuses on innovation, technology and education and brings IT professionals, decision-makers, leaders and academics together under one roof.

ITx 2016 is a conference like no other, and you're invited.

As part of ITx 2016, InternetNZ aims to bring together some of the culture of our NetHui events to explore opportunities, concepts and ideas around the future of the Internet in New Zealand.

We’re holding 3-4 sessions over Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 July, and we’d love to hear if you’re interested in attending or contributing.

One of the sessions will be on the Internet of Things (IoT) - in collaboration with TUANZ. But you may have other ideas to put forward such as a topic not reflected in the full ITx programme, or a theme touched on but not fully explored in a keynote.

The IoT panel will examine what IoT means in the immediate future - when it comes to our everyday lives including:

  • How will the IoT impact us as we move from home to work, when and where we work, and how we make the most of our leisure time?
  • How will this also impact on the infrastructures of the future: the telecommunications network as well as others such as roads and property?
  • Should we call wearables & personal devices IoT at all? Aren't they the Internet of You?
Are you keen on running a NetHui session? Or just noting your interest in a topic you want to hear more about? Click here to register your interest before Friday 3 June.
