Grants round

Purpose

The purpose of InternetNZ Grants are to provide financial support to New Zealand based community-led initiatives and research projects which align to the objectives and goals of InternetNZ.

This year we will prioritise support to digital inclusion projects that have strong evaluation. To help projects, we have convened an Evaluation Advisory Group to work with the initiatives we fund this year to create, test and iterate a practical approach to evaluation that meets the needs of evidence-based policy makers and funders.

Individuals or organisations conducting research projects focused on Internet topics and issues may also apply for funding. Research should either:

  • inform the development of the Internet in Aotearoa and/or the availability, use and benefit of the Internet for New Zealanders.
  • support the development of the Internet research community in New Zealand and researchers working on New Zealand Internet topics and issues.

The total funding this year for this round is $130,000. Applications for this grant close at 5pm, Thursday 30 January 2020.
