2025 InternetNZ Board Election results
A total of 2,785 votes were cast in this year’s election, with no invalid ballots recorded — a turnout of 62.40% of Eligible Members, up from 43% last year. The election was held using the Single Transferable Vote system and two positions were available.
After a thorough process, Jonathan Ayling and Dylan Reeve have been elected to the InternetNZ Board for a term of three years to July 2028.
Elected Board Members

Jonathan Ayling was elected in Round 5, having reached the required threshold of 929 votes with a final count of 1,052 votes before surplus redistribution.

Dylan Reeve was elected in Round 8, reaching the threshold with a final tally of 1,372 votes before surplus redistribution.

This year’s election process was independently verified by Grant Thornton New Zealand Audit Limited. The purpose of this review was to confirm that InternetNZ complied with its Constitution in relation to the 2025 Board election.

Grant Thornton’s findings included:
- Confirmation that both available Board positions were filled within the specified election period.
- Verification that the two candidates with the highest polling results were duly elected.
- Acknowledgement that the electoral process was successfully completed and aligned with the rules outlined in the InternetNZ Constitution.
