Be part of NetHui — community submissions close 18 June
NetHui Team •
We're looking for folks who are keen to bring their expertise and experience to running a session at NetHui.
NetHui is back and this year it’s a two-day event, 3–4 October, at Tākina in Te Whanganui-a-Tara | Wellington.
We're looking for folks who are keen to bring their expertise and experience to running a session at NetHui.
Whether you've run a session at an event before, or always wanted to, now's your chance. We’re looking for diverse, engaging, knowledgeable, and inspiring:
- speakers,
- panelists,
- facilitators,
- and workshop organisers.
Your ideas will shape the overall NetHui 2024 programme.
Who can put ideas forward?
Anyone can submit an idea! Just let us know about the Internet-related topic you would like to share.
In particular, we would love to hear from groups who are underrepresented in the sector. We encourage first time event speakers, Māori, ethnic minorities, women and gender minorities, young people and our whaikaha whānau — those with disabilities, to submit so that we can hold space for the diverse range of perspectives within the Internet community here in Aotearoa New Zealand.
If you have any questions, you can get in touch with our community team by emailing nethui@internetnz.net.nz
Timeline for submissions
- Submissions open: Monday 20 May
- Submissions close: Tuesday 18 June
If you are interested, let us know by filling out the community submission form.
Our community team will work with you to decide what kind of session you want to run and what support you’ll need.
If you would like to talk through an idea before submitting the form, get in touch at nethui@internetnz.net.nz
We can’t guarantee that we can host all the sessions that are submitted, but we will do our best to ensure all key themes of interest are covered.
