New members join InternetNZ Council
Today, InternetNZ | Ipurangi Aotearoa held its Annual General Meeting, and the InternetNZ members elected four new positions to Council, including a Vice President and three Council members.
Each candidate brought a range of skills and expertise and it was great to see the ideas and passion they put forward in the lead-up to the elections.
The votes were scrutinised, and we are happy to confirm the successful candidates:
- Brenda Wallace: Vice President (two-year term)
- Alpana Roy: Council member (three-year term)
- Anjum Rahman MNZM, FCA: Council member (three-year term)
- Jeff Montgomery: Council member (three-year term)
My congratulations to the four successful members. The Council is looking forward to working with you in these roles.
Thank you very much to everyone who stood to represent the InternetNZ members.
I would like to acknowledge Jay Daley, our outgoing Vice President, and Sarah Lee, our outgoing Council member.
Jay’s term was cut short for personal reasons and a need to return to the United Kingdon to be with family. Thank you Jay for your support over the last year.
Sarah has been on Council for eight years and was integral to setting up Te Komiti Whakauru Māori and also in establishing the Māori Design Group. Sarah has played an important role in pushing InternetNZ to becoming a Te Tiriti centric organisation, and leaves an enduring legacy.
Thank you both for the contribution you have made while you held these roles. InternetNZ is better for your work.
