Now is the perfect time to get yourself online
Over the course of 2020 so far, we’ve seen first-hand how important it is to be online for many businesses. COVID-19 and the accompanying lockdown brought about a great change to New Zealand, and it’s a testament to everyone in the country that we’re in the strong position we are now.
Even though businesses have been able to re-open their physical stores and offices, our new normal is different to what came before and this still has an impact for many. That’s why it's important now to make use of online platforms to give your customers and audience the best opportunities to engage with you.
Navigating your business online can be confusing to get to grips with. There are plenty of pathways and you can start in any direction, but without thinking ahead, you can end up on a path that doesn’t meet your goals. We’re here to help with that.
Leveraging the power of the Internet
Data has shown an increase of .nz domain name registrations from April 2020 to June 2020, with 37,244 registrations—a 25% increase on the same period last year. Lockdown played a big part in that, with online businesses able to operate quicker than others.
Whether or not you’ve been impacted by that situation, there’s no denying that being able to reach people online and providing services away from physical locations does have advantages when utilised properly.
Reaching new audiences, showcasing products and services, and being a source of information are just some of the ways the Internet can be used to help businesses and users.
Understanding your goals and objectives can determine what you need to do to get online as well as the steps to take after achieving that. This is different for everyone, and while a powerful tool, should not be seen as a replacement to existing operations and efforts offline but in addition to them.
