Strengthening Aotearoa’s Emergency Management

On 21 May, we made a submission to the National Emergency Management Agency on proposed reforms to the Civil Defence Emergency Management Act.

We highlighted the unique role of the .nz domain name system (DNS) in New Zealand’s digital infrastructure — resilient by design, and globally integrated.

Our submission emphasised the critical role of digital equity in emergency preparedness. Communities need reliable, inclusive connectivity — not just resilient infrastructure.
